Aaron Lloyd
Executive Director
Since 1961, the Lee County Hyacinth Control District has worked to keep our waterways safe, navigable, and healthy by managing invasive and nuisance aquatic vegetation for the benefit of Lee County residents and visitors.
Lee County’s waterways are vital to our economy, environment, and way of life. We follow an integrated aquatic vegetation management approach that prioritizes environmental stewardship, including routine monitoring of waterways, mechanical and physical control where feasible, strategic use of biological control agents, advanced treatment technologies, and the application of environmentally responsible herbicides.
Our greatest strength is our people: District employees are trained and certified in Aquatic Weed Control, they embrace continuous learning and research, and collaborate with partners at the local, state, and national levels. As Executive Director, my commitment is to foster this culture of innovation and accountability, be a responsible steward of public resources, and uphold the trust our community places in us every day.
It is an honor to serve as Executive Director of the Lee County Hyacinth Control District, and we will remain focused on serving Lee County and its residents with professionalism, safety, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining healthy, accessible waterways.
